Install guide

Hardwired vs. Plug-in Pendant Lights
Hardwired
- Wired directly into the ceiling's electrical junction box.
- Controlled by a wall switch.
- No visible cord. The ceiling canopy hides the connection for a clean look.
- Best for: new builds, renovations, permanent setups.
Plug-in
- Long cord with a plug that goes into a wall outlet.
- Hung from a ceiling hook and routed along the ceiling and wall.
- Has an inline on/off switch on the cord.
- Easy DIY install with no wiring needed, and easy to move.
- Best for: renters, or spots without a ceiling electrical.
In short: Hardwired gives a cleaner, permanent installation. Plug-in is more flexible and easier to set up, but the cord is visible.
